Thank you Amy for sharing your faith in the Lord through your music. I love the part at 2:20 where it goes “If our God His Son not sparing came to rescue you, is there any circumstance that He cant see you through?” This song made it on the secular radio back in the 80s. Its harder for a Christian artist to do that now.
“In such as man’s vain misuse of my name, I shalt dwell on no such thing, for more vast exingencies dwell deep within my mind.” Saith the Lord in Galoshes: 12;4.
I LOVED this song in 1985. Was one of the first Amy Grant songs I’d ever heard at that point. I remember taping it off the radio and listening to it over and over again. It’s still such a great song!!

Exodus 20:7 You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.

She had some good music, that’s for sure. Just wish she didn’t perpetuate the stereotype that white people can’t dance, as this video illustrates.

And Amy doesn’t care either.
