[2 of 13] dc Talk – Love is a verb
“Welcome to the Freak Show” is the fifth album by dc Talk, released in 1997, and their first official live recording. dc Talk www.dctalk.com Check out my channel http Check out the whole concert www.youtube.com God bless you!!!
Dc Talk is the only Christian band ever that can get away with some really cheesy lyrics and still be AWESOME! I LOVE THEM!! but some of their songs actually do have really great and deep lyrics. Others like this one are more fun.
“Smith, who listens MOSTLY to SECULAR MUSIC, would like to see DC Talk expand its vocabulary. ‘not EVERYTHING has to be about GOD.’ he says.”(Flint Michigan Journal, March 15, 1996, P.B19)
Not surprizingly, Toby McKeehan, blatantly says in USA Today, “Sometimes, being labeled a Christian band, we consider that a NEGATIVE. . .”
Love it!! Love is a verb, just like God. God said that He is “I Am” to Moses and at other times in the Word. This proves His name is not a noun but a verb. And we all know that God is love. This songs makes even greater sense when seen it in that light, well at least to me lol. The bridge is excellent, denoting the life of Yahshua. Love the way Toby raps. You don’t see songs like that these days. God (Elohim) bless DC Talk. Wish they did a reunion world tour or something!
